Minden (dpa / lnw) – An 83-year-old is said to have been attacked by a man disguised as a postman and his accomplices in her house in Minden and locked in the basement. Officials said on Wednesday that a real postman heard calls for help and alerted the police about an hour after the incident. The woman was reportedly unharmed.

According to the police, the alleged postman initially pretended to want to hand over a shipment on Tuesday afternoon. When the elderly woman opened, the man pushed her back into the house with the help of another man. Various cupboards and drawers were then ransacked. The woman was locked in the basement.

According to the police, the perpetrators stole cash, jewelry, silver coins and a bank card. The officials took up the investigation and looked for clues.
