A paratrooper was seriously injured in the days before October 12, during preparations for the parade, as revealed this Friday by the acting Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, who has not provided more information about the accident or about the soldier in question.

In front of the media, Robles has limited himself to stating that he is a corporal and that the accident that occurred during the preparation of the military parade was “very important.” “We are awaiting his evolution, we hope that everything works properly and that he can recover from this complicated situation,” he added.

The minister has emphasized that preparing a parade of these characteristics (more than 4,000 soldiers, 86 aircraft, 142 vehicles and 210 horses participated) “takes a long time.” Likewise, she has emphasized her “pride” and “satisfaction” with its development. “They made Spain as a whole feel very proud of the parade,” she stressed.
