Pensioners are about to receive their coveted summer bonus. And it is that with good weather also comes that extra income that always comes in handy.
This extra pay for pensioners is collected twice a year by people who are entitled to benefits for retirement, widowhood or permanent disability. Two moments that occur in the months of July and December.
However, in 2023 the extra summer pay is brought forward a few days and will arrive in the month of June instead of in the first half of July, as usual.
Thus, some banks will pay the extra summer pay at the end of June to their pensioners, doing so between June 23 and 28.
On June 23, CaixaBank, Santander and Bankinter will enter. While on June 25, BBVA, Sabadell, ING, Liberbank and Unicaja will do the same. Finally, on June 27 the income will arrive for the clients of Abanca, Cajamar and Kutxabank.
For Social Security, it will be the first extraordinary remuneration of 2023, which already presents the last revaluation based on the interannual CPI, that is, an 8.5% increase in each of the payments.
The amount of income from extraordinary payments is the same as that of ordinary payments.
