The former deputy spokesman for Citizens in the Congress of Deputies, Edmundo Bal, and the attorney in the Courts of Castilla y León Francisco Igea have denounced that the board has the party “kidnapped” and have demanded that he rectify his decision not to appear to the general elections of 23-J.
In a meeting with affiliates and supporters held this Sunday in Madrid, Bal has accused the national spokesperson for Cs, Patricia Guasp, and the general secretary, Adrián Vázquez of “putting their personal projects before the collective” and of “keeping the current account of the party”.
After denouncing that the leadership is “bunkered and entrenched”, the former deputy spokesman for the parliamentary group has assured that “there is still time” to change his mind and “not leave the 300,000 voters in the last local elections as “orphans” and autonomous.
He has also shown his rejection of the decision adopted on May 30 by the National Committee of Cs the attorney in Castilla y León, Francisco Igea, who has claimed to prevent the party from “going underground.”
Igea has indicated that Ciudadanos is “a game of the brave” in which it is necessary to “assume responsibilities after the poor results” obtained in the selections on May 28.
The act concluded with the reading of a manifesto addressed to voters who “do not resign themselves to the fatality of bipartisan alternation and the permanent and disastrous dependence on nationalism and populism.”
