The leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, has accused the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, of handing over public policies to Podemos, ERC and EH Bildu with his new “anti-housing law” and other regulations approved in recent months.

This was expressed in his speech at a rally in the town of Vega de Pas (Cantabria), where he described the law as a “shame” and a “great disappointment” because he does not speak “seriously” about housing, ” one of the main problems” of Spain.

“Do you remember when Sánchez came to the Government and said that intervening in rental prices was an ineffective measure and that he would not do it? And how did he end up applying that measure?” Feijóo questioned, to warn that “intervening in prices It sounds great but it works very badly.” In his opinion, Sánchez “has stopped being a socialist and has become more powerful.”

In this context, he has shown himself in favor of creating social housing and has made Sánchez ugly for having “done zero”, while accusing him of having launched “little or no” aid for renting young people.

“I agree with protecting Spaniards who have difficulties paying for their homes, but what I do not agree with is that nothing is done to evict squatters from houses that are not theirs,” he also added, to emphasize that the new Housing Law does not include “not a word” about illegal squatting.

For Feijóo, it is “revealing” that the Government “does not protect” Spanish families who see their homes occupied. “The same government that mercilessly insults everyone who disagrees with it, lowers its ears to the squatters,” he has made ugly.

In this regard, he has assured that the PP will present “an alternative model to the anti-housing law” and will guarantee “more aid and security, both for the landlord and the tenant”: “We are going to make an agreement and not an imposition of the minority counting the majority of Spaniards”, has advanced, to highlight that the price of housing falls “by building more”.

In Feijóo’s opinion, when “arrogance” is “combined”, with inexperience, insensitivity and weakness” laws like this arise, agreed with ERC and EH Bildu, to which Sánchez “delivers public policies”.

On the other hand, the leader of the PP has warned that the “worst mistake” of the President of the Government, “and the most painful”, has been the law of ‘only yes is yes’ because it was “avoidable” and “revictimizes” the victims and “alarm society”.

In this sense, he has criticized the fact that the PSOE has not been able to reform the law “despite having the free votes of the PP.” “I admit that this issue astonishes me due to the lack of empathy and trust,” he lamented, to warn of the “arrogance” and “arrogance” of not reforming such “legislative nonsense.”

On this issue, Feijóo has said that if a “legal botch” such as the law of only yes is yes had occurred during his government and no one “had been able to apologize”, he would not continue in the Executive.

Feijóo, who during his speech has also claimed support for the PP for the rural world, ranchers and the electro-intensive industry, thus asserted that the first thing a politician has to do “is rectify when he is wrong.”

“Sanchismo has come to normalize frivolous politics and the politics of confrontation and I promise to do the opposite, put an end to frivolity and end the confrontation,” he concluded.
