Chilly light rain Monday morning will turn to heavier showers by afternoon and continue through the evening. The high temperature for Monday will be 44 degrees.
It’s even colder in the hills with the snow level at about 1500 feet. Much like on Sunday, many in the foothills will see falling snow and even some sticking snow through the day.
The National Weather Service notes the Coast Range will see nearly a quarter of an inch of rain and 1 to 3 inches of snow from early afternoon through late Monday night. The Cascades and Cascade foothills will likely get 0.5 to 0.75 inch of rain and 4 to 8 inches of snow.
The Willamette Valley can expect nearly a half inch of rain and will likely only see a few flakes of snow mixed in with the rain at higher elevations or with strong showers.
Tuesday’s forecast features an approaching warm front that will increase the rain again by afternoon and into early Wednesday. Snow levels will rise to around 2500 feet. The high will be 47.
Currently we’re looking at a possible mostly dry day Wednesday with a high of 48. One can hope.
