Today, Tuesday May 30, the Catholic Church honors Saint Joan of Arc. She was the woman who restored honor to the crown of France in the fifteenth century, but she died falsely accused of heresy. This is the famous and dramatic parable of Joan of Arc.
She led the army to liberate Orleans from the British on the impulse of a divine mission.
The English do not accept the defeat at the hands of the young woman and the same French, generals and ecclesiastical, do not want to see themselves supplanted for the same reason. According to the Vatican website, she was burned at the stake in 1431.
