Bautzen (dpa/sn) – A traffic jam around 30 kilometers long cost drivers a lot of time and patience on the Autobahn 4 near Bautzen on Tuesday morning. According to the Görlitz police department, the cause was a construction site and heavy traffic after the Pentecost weekend. An easing of the situation was not in sight for the time being: According to the traffic warning service, the length of the traffic jam continued to increase in the morning in the direction of Dresden. Because of the traffic jam, the Königshainer Berge tunnel was also blocked again and again. The police spoke of block handling so that no queues of cars form in the tunnel itself.
