Dresden (dpa/sn) – The Jazztage Dresden will offer 46 concerts and numerous stars from next Friday. As the organizer announced on Wednesday, Gregory Porter is expected to attend a concert in the ball sports arena. Performances by Jesus Molina, Curtis Stigers and Big Daddy Wilson are also noted in the program. The Australian multi-instrumentalist James Morrison gives several concerts as artist in residence and also passes on his musical skills and knowledge in workshops and master classes. The German scene is present, for example, with Pascal von Wroblewski, Jule Malischke, Quadro Nuevo and Günther Fischer with Uschi Brüning. The planned end of the festival with the large-scale production “Messiah Superstar” has to be postponed to May 2023 for organizational reasons.
