The contestants of Pasapalabra already have a consignment of new famous guests on set willing to help them add seconds in their lockers for the final test of El Rosco. On this occasion, the presenter Roberto Leal has welcomed Leo Harlem, Juan Avellaneda and Irene Junquera to the Antena 3 program. Let’s get to know this last guest a little better.

Journalist and presenter, Irene Junquera is one of the most recognizable faces in sports journalism after appearing on programs on different channels.

Born in Madrid in 1985, she graduated from the Complutense University of the Spanish capital. “But my school has been today and every project I’ve worked on,” explains the journalist in the biography of her website. “Since I started I have been lucky to surround myself with the best and I continue to learn and try to improve day by day,” she adds.

Although she took her first professional steps in 2007 in the sports section of Punto Radio, Junquera began to gain fame as a collaborator of Punto Pelota, the sports gathering that was broadcast on Intereconomía. She later went with Josep Pedrerol and his entire team to El Chiringuito de Jugones, a similar format from Atresmedia that has gone through Nitro, La Sexta, Neox and Mega.

With Pedrerol, he began playing the role of “the voice of the spectator”, reading the comments that were seething on social networks about the hottest topics in sports today, although he eventually became part of the team of commentators.

Junquera has also been a collaborator of Zapeando since 2015, but in March 2017 her career took a turn when she was signed by Mediaset. She debuted on Telecinco with All you need is love… o no, a space presented by Risto Mejide that premiered in May 2017 and only had one season.

In 2019, he presented Safari, on the hunt for TV, a channel zapping program for Factoría De Ficción that he hosted together with Nacho García. That same year, the Madrid journalist surprised locals and strangers alike when she announced her participation in the reality star of Telecinco, Gran Hermano VIP 7. It was at gala 7 of the program when the public decided that they should leave the house of Guadalix de la Sierra.

The journalist has also worked on television programs such as El Desmarque de Cuatro, hosted by Luis García, or El Rondo on TVE. Likewise, the radio has been another of her regular destinations, collaborating on La Tribu, on Radio Marca, or on Vamos tarde, on Europa FM or Las Mañanas Kiss, on Kiss FM.

And this 2023, Irene Junquera has once again taken a turn in her career with her arrival at Ya es mediodía, a program presented by Joaquín Prat on Telecinco.
