The Pasapalabra contest presented by Roberto Leal this Thursday added 19.6% screen share and 1,59883,000 viewers. It reigns with a firm hand also in the afternoons of September.
Starting this Friday, Pasapalabra has a new portfolio of guests on the Antena 3 program. On this occasion, the following will be present on the set: Mantín Fiz, Lucía Hoyos, Norma Ruiz and Miguel Diosdado
Martín Fiz (Vitoria, 1963) is one of the greatest athletes in Spanish athletics. It all started as fun at school, in Vitoria, with that teacher who taught him mathematics and social sciences as well as gymnastics. When he told him to walk around the yard in class he discovered that he liked to run.
He also carries several world championships in his backpack. He was fourth in the Atlanta Olympic Games, world runner-up in Greece 98 and was awarded the then Prince of Asturias Award within the Spanish marathon team in 1997.
He has been the first athlete to win the six majors [marathons in New York, Tokyo, Boston, Berlin, Chicago and London] in the veteran category and has now embarked on the project of also winning the five most important half marathons. He added his first victory in Lisbon. Now he has Prague, Copenhagen, Cardiff and Valencia when he has already turned 60.
“Who was going to tell me! At 40 I said I was leaving athletics, at 50 I embarked on the adventure of the Six Majors and managed to win all of them in my category and at 60 I started a new challenge, which consists of winning the Super Halfs. I won in Lisbon with a good record and I was already thinking about the next half of the circuit. I am very motivated and happy. I have had to work hard to recover from the injuries that had kept me out of the competition, but it was worth it the sacrifice,” highlighted the Vitorian.
In 2018 a car hit him in Vitoria while he was training with some teammates. He broke four ribs and thought he would never compete in the elite again. His sacrifice and daily effort allow him to once again be a benchmark for world athletics.
