Suhl (dpa/th) – Change of leadership at the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) in Suhl: The General Assembly elected Torsten Herrmann as the new President of the IHK, as the chamber announced. The 51-year-old succeeds Peter Traut, who headed the IHK Südthüringen for 20 years. Herrmann is the managing partner of an automotive supplier from Steinbach-Hallenberg. His term of office as President lasts five years. According to its own statements, the IHK in Suhl represents the interests of 26,300 companies in southern Thuringia.
