Louise Thompson, a former favorite on Made In Chelsea, recently turned down Channel 4’s offer to star in the spinoff series Beyond Chelsea alongside her friends Binky Felstead and Rosie Fortescue. According to MailOnline, Louise decided not to participate in the two-part show, and Lucy Watson, another ex-cast mate, took her place. This decision came at a challenging time for Louise, who almost died giving birth to her son Leo in 2021.

The Beyond Chelsea series follows the lives of the trio in their 30s as they navigate marriage, children, businesses, and dating. Binky and Lucy have settled down with husbands and children, while Rosie gives viewers a glimpse into her businesses and dating life. Louise, although supportive of the new series, was unable to participate due to prior commitments on another project.

Producers had hoped to film inside Louise’s home with her fiancé Ryan Libbey, capturing moments with her brother Sam and his girlfriend Zara McDermott, who live next door. This would have provided viewers with a glimpse into their family life and relationships. Binky had previously shared that the connection between herself, Rosie, and Louise was like family, as they have been close for many years.

In addition to her recent difficulties with childbirth, Louise has also faced health challenges due to ulcerative colitis, a bowel disease. She underwent surgery and was fitted with a stoma bag, which she credits with saving her life. These experiences have led to postnatal anxiety and PTSD, which Louise has been working through with therapy and the support of her partner and family.

In her book, Lucky, Louise shares the harrowing experience of almost losing her life during childbirth and the aftermath of that traumatic event. She acknowledges the impact it has had on her mental health and her relationship with Ryan, who has been a pillar of support throughout her recovery.

Despite not being part of Beyond Chelsea, Louise remains supportive of the series and looks forward to seeing her friends on screen. Her journey through motherhood, health challenges, and mental health struggles has been a difficult one, but she continues to persevere with the love and support of those around her.
