The AirlineRatings website shared its annual ranking of the best airlines in the world on May 28, 2024. While most of the airlines awarded come from abroad and are located outside Europe, Air France has managed to make a place for itself in this valuable international ranking. To arrive at the ranking (also available at the end of the page), 12 very precise criteria were analyzed between the companies. Each criterion is established on a very precise score, ranging from 0 to 7 stars. We find there in particular:
Low cost airlines, which are more accessible, also have a ranking. There we find AirAsia Group, Air Baltic, Air Canada Rouge, Cebu Pacific. Arriving just below is the company EasyJet which serves France in particular.
After three particularly difficult years (2020, 2021 and 2022) for the airline sector following the COVID-19 pandemic, the airline industry has “taken off again”, confirms Statista. In 2023, the turnover of the planet’s airlines will reach 780 billion dollars. The Lufthansa group alone, one of the leaders in international aviation, will have a turnover of more than 35 billion euros in 2023.
