BYD’s sub-brand Fang Cheng Bao recently revealed official images of their latest model, the Bao 3, along with some key specifications. The Bao 3, which is referred to as the production version of the Super 3 concept, was included in China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s catalog for public comment.
The Bao 3 is a 5-seat model that measures 4,605 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,720 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,745 mm. It is powered by dual electric motors, with the front motor delivering a maximum power of 110 kW and the rear motor with a maximum power of 200 kW. The model weighs 2,150 kg and can reach a top speed of 201 km/h.
The Bao 3 is equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries supplied by BYD’s battery division, FinDreams Battery. This model is only available in an all-electric version as per the catalog.
Previously, Fang Cheng Bao introduced the Bao 5 off-road SUV as the brand’s first model, followed by the plug-in hybrid Bao 5. The brand also unveiled the Bao 8 and showcased two concept cars, the Super 3 SUV, and the Super 9 supercar at a spring launch event in Shenzhen.
While the launch date and pricing details for the Bao 3 have not been disclosed yet, the brand continues to expand its lineup with innovative designs and cutting-edge technology.
