60% of users make at least one online purchase per month with a cost of more than 40 euros, according to a survey carried out by CTT Express, an express parcel subsidiary of the CTT Group.
Specifically, the most demanded sectors are textiles (70%), technology (40%) and cosmetics (18%) and immediacy is presented as the reason why 90% of online consumers choose this channel, according to Europa Press.
Likewise, user interest in receiving orders at a convenience point has quadrupled in three years, reaching 16%.
Given the data, CTT Express has commented that this delivery option “is a success among recipients”, since “it allows them to receive their orders in a comfortable, safe and flexible way” and, in addition, “promotes activity and visits to local businesses”.
Regarding the delivery of packages, the survey shows that recipients prefer to receive their orders in the morning (46%), at their home (67%), with a notice 24 hours before delivery (81%).
Furthermore, if they have to make a return, 66% demand that the company pick up the package at their home, due to the flexibility that this option offers.
On the other hand, the mobile phone is positioned as the device through which almost 75% of consumers make their purchases and the preferred payment method for 70% is the card.
The communications director of CTT Express, Leticia Martín, commented that this report provides “a complete vision for all the actors involved in the purchasing process and the online channel.”
In particular, Martín wanted to highlight the fact that 80% of those surveyed affirm that their experience with the delivery of the order is a decisive factor in determining whether they will buy from that store again or look for other options.
