Hyundai Motor Company has launched an original digital series called ‘Cities in Motion’, which is now available to watch on YouTube. The series focuses on the innovative solutions that different cities are implementing to address urban environmental challenges and promote sustainability. Urban areas cover only 2 percent of the earth’s surface but are responsible for 70 percent of greenhouse gas emissions, 80 percent of energy consumption, 75 percent of natural resource use, and more than half of the world’s waste. In light of these concerning statistics, Hyundai Motor decided to explore how cities can become more sustainable.

Hyundai Motor teamed up with sustainability broadcaster James Stewart and Voice for Nature, founded by David de Rothschild, to embark on a journey using Hyundai IONIQ EVs to visit London, Frankfurt, Jakarta, and Los Angeles. The goal was to showcase global environmental initiatives and highlight Hyundai Motor’s dedication to a sustainable future for both people and the planet.
