I read Rob Curley’s Feb. 8 column twice and loved it. In fact the entire Feb. 8 issue was excellent. Thank you.
Living here in the Trumpland I call Idaho, I fear for my country. It is as polarized as Curley stated. I also fear for the survival of one of our country’s most prized assets, the free press. The First Amendment states: “Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”
I fear and I wonder, what can this citizen, alone, sitting at home, do to help ensure the survival of this precious national asset. I believe that I am not alone in seeking an answer to this question.
