Sepi proposes to the ex-minister Miguel Sebastian as a director of Indra

The board of directors of the State Society of Industrial Participations (SEPI) has proposed to the former minister of socialist Industry, Miguel Sebastian as a member of the board of Indra in representation of the holding company public, replacing Alfredo Menéndez Menéndez.

Sources familiar of the appointment confirmed to Europa Press this change ahead of time for ‘Five Days’ and that will lead to the incorporation as a proprietary director of the company consultancy and technology from the minister of Industry, Tourism and Trade between April 2008 and December 2011 in the Government of José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero.

Following the usual steps in these processes, the board of directors of Indra will have to approve the appointment of Miguel Sebastian after receiving the approval of the Appointments and Remuneration Committee, after which you will need to be ratified at a shareholders ‘ meeting.

The former minister is currently a lecturer in the Faculty of Science EconómicasUniversidad Complutense of Madrid (UCM). During his political career, in addition to being the holder of the wallet Industry for more than three years, he was a candidate of the PSOE for mayor of Madrid in 2007 and director of the Economic Office of the President government’s, with the rank of Secretary of State, between 2004 and 2006.
