It has been a video clip and a musical project that have achieved the long-awaited reunion of Los Serrano. Not the entire cast was there, but the seven members of the Los Serrano family were there: Antonio Resines, Belén Rueda, Verónica Sánchez, Natalia Sánchez, Jorge Jurado, Fran Perea and Víctor Elías.

And these last two have been the culprits that finally the followers of Los Serrano have the photo of all of them together. Fran Perea and Víctor Elías transport several generations to the 2000s with One plus one is 20, a work that they have released today. The objective, “to celebrate life and pay tribute to the series that turned them into brothers on April 22, 2003 and that celebrates the 20th anniversary of its premiere: Los Serrano”.

The work already exceeds 4 million views on digital platforms (thanks to its 6 previews) and is available on all of them. Also today the video clip and the single of the theme that is integrated in the soundtrack of many lives and in which Despistaos collaborates: One plus one is 7, for which Perea and Elías have managed to bring together the entire Serrano family , is the long-awaited reunion of the 7 main protagonists of this mythical series.

Antonio Resines, Belén Rueda, Verónica Sánchez, Natalia Sánchez and Jorge Jurado have joined Fran Perea and Víctor Elías in this tribute that also supposes their reunion for the first time since they left or ended the series: it is already a reality in the video clip of One plus one is 7, directed by Ángel Velasco.

“It was necessary to celebrate this historic moment together with the fans. And a wonderful group of collaborators wanted to join: Ana Guerra, Bely Basarte, Álvaro Benito, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Ginebras, Rayden, Despistaos, Roi, Roberto Leal and David Otero,” says Elías.

Among the last surprises of this album, we find the participation of the television presenter Roberto Leal in the song Mi corazón that he interprets together with Roi Méndez and Fran Perea. And that David Otero (member of El canto del loco) will be in charge of La vida al revés. Two of the most beloved and reproduced songs from Fran Perea’s discography. These two collaborations obey Perea’s objective with this work: “To unite in a single place emerging groups and artists who have grown up with my music and bands and musicians of my generation who marked the musical culture of the 2000s and who continue to give a lot of war.” “.

The album, which is being presented today under the umbrella of Sinfonía en Nobemol (Fran’s own label), “is a picture of pop music in our country over the last 20 years, condensed into those ten songs,” says the man from Malaga. The perfect excuse, too, to celebrate twenty years in the music of Fran Perea. An album full of surprises, such as the revision of the famous One plus one is 7, which returns to our lives with renewed energy… Víctor Elías, Eduardo Figueroa and Fran Perea are at the controls of the musical production, a trio they join Roi Méndez in My Heart and Tato Latorre for the mythical One plus One equals 7.

“It is an honor to be able to participate in the review of the soundtrack of one of the most mythical series on Spanish television. I used to watch Los Serrano, its premiere coincided with the release of our first album. I felt quite identified with the role of Fran , that boy who was struggling to gain a foothold with his songs. I am very excited to be able to sing this song that we have heard so many times and now hear it played by Despistaos y Fran is very beautiful”. These are the words of the vocalist of Despistaos, Daniel Marco. José Krespo, the band’s composer and guitarist, remembers that when their record company called them to ask them if they wanted to do One plus one equals seven with Fran, they answered: But what question is that? Who can say no to that? For us, it’s been an honor.”

In 2003, Los Serrano, a Telecinco series, came into our lives, where this weekend the series is honored with a marathon and a special program, in which Fran played Marcos Serrano and which was decisive in his musical career: the success of One plus one equals seven, number 1 on the sales charts in 2003, gave rise to his first album, The girl from the next room, which collected four platinum records and one gold record. And later, Punto y aparte, which was also used for the soundtrack of the series.

It was one of the last series of those that the whole family watched at the same time on TV. And it was a boom, a social phenomenon that reached 8,191,000 viewers on April 1, 2004 in its 32nd episode and reached a 44.5% audience share in its 31st episode.

This series marked the launch of Fran Perea’s musical career and, in some way, brought Víctor Elías closer to what is now his great passion: music. These artists have wanted to pay tribute to the series that marked an era and several generations and that continues to gain followers thanks to its broadcast on various platforms. “A record that celebrates that we are alive and that music unites us”, emphasizes Fran Perea.
