My Markie Girl [?]
Manzo’d with grandchildren! Lauren Manzo Scalia, who stars in Bravo’s “Manzo’d With Children” and is the daughter of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” original cast member Caroline Manzo and her husband Al Manzo, has welcomed her first child with husband Vito Scalia.
She revealed the birth on Instagram, followed by another Instagram courtesy of Caroline Manzo that revealed the full name: “Welcome to the world Marchesa Anna Scalia, our little Markie! Mommy and daughter are resting comfortably, “Grandma Caroline” loves you both beyond measure!” (In her mother’s photo, Lauren was “RHONJ”-ready in a dramatic set of false eyelashes.)
Welcome to the world Marchesa Anna Scalia, our little Markie! Mommy and daughter are resting comfortably, “Grandma Caroline” loves you both beyond measure!
Marchesa means marquise, a rank of nobility, in Italian, and it is also the name of the high-end evening gown line from Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig.
Bravo cameras captured the courtship of Lauren Manzo and Vito Scalia from the first season of “RHONJ,” and were on hand, of course, for the nuptials, which capped the second season of “Manzo’d With Children.” The couple recently bought a home in Wayne.
This is the second grandchild among the “Real Housewives,” which has been airing since 2009. Last year, Ashlee Holmes, the daughter of Jacqueline Laurita, welcomed her first child, a boy name Cameron Hendrix Malleo, with her fiance Pete Malleo. Laurita’s husband Chris is Caroline Manzo’s brother, making Marchesa and Cameron first cousins once removed.
