About 60,000 pounds of chicken salad product is being recalled by Three Ready Pac Foods because it may be contaminated with listeria.

The product was produced between Jan. 17 and Feb. 17, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The items being recalled are the 7.5-oz single serve salad bowl packs of “Ready Pac Foods Puro Picante Blazin’ Hot” with codes P-27497, P-32081, or P-18502B inside the mark of inspection.

The use by dates are Jan. 31 to March 4.

The company did not report any illnesses.

Consumers are Wipbet being told to throw away the items or return them to the place of purchase.

Listeriosis can cause fever, muscle aches, headache, confusion and convulsions. It can lead to serious and sometimes fatal infections in older persons or those with weakened immune systems.
