A local florist, Sayeh & Galton Flowers, located in Flask Walk, Hampstead, is celebrating their 20th year in business on August 4. The owner, Sayeh Rafiei, was delighted to have her shop chosen as a film location for the new Bridget Jones movie, “Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy.”

Lead actress Renée Zellweger has been spotted in Hampstead and north London since filming began in May. The film follows Bridget Jones as a middle-aged single mother after the death of Mark Darcy, played by Rockstar Leo Woodall.

During filming, Flask Walk was closed, and Sayeh’s shop was the focus. The preparation for filming took hours, even though the actual scene might only last for a few seconds. Despite it being summer, the area was given a Christmas makeover for the movie.

Sayeh expressed her excitement at being part of such an iconic project, especially as it coincided with her 20th business anniversary. She took over the shop nearly 20 years ago after coming to the UK from a background in chemistry. She considers floristry as an art form, not just arranging flowers.

The filming in the area has brought attention to the beauty of Hampstead, and Sayeh is proud to have her business located there. Renée Zellweger has been seen exploring the local area, adding to the excitement of having a Hollywood production in the neighborhood.

The new Bridget Jones movie is set to be released on February 14, 2025, just in time for Valentine’s Day. The anticipation is high for fans of the series, and the involvement of a local business like Sayeh & Galton Flowers adds a special touch to the film’s connection to the community.
