Reggaeton singer Alexio ‘La Bruja’ died this Tuesday at the age of 35. The Puerto Rican, whose real name was Víctor A. Rivera Rosado, was diagnosed with cancer in 2017.

Confirmation of his death came through a statement from Benny La Jodienda, who revealed the news through his Instagram account. “The genre is in mourning!!! May you rest in peace, my king!! You are one of the most special people I have ever met!! Your friendship was unconditional!!” Benny pointed out.

The alarms went off when two colleagues, AnuelAA and Arcángel, asked for blood donations through their social networks, intended for Alexio. “My brother from another mother is fighting like a warrior for his life! We urgently need platelet donors! If you have nothing to do and you want to save the life of an excellent human being, who has given you moments of hesitation and joy as an artist, so we need you more than ever!” Arcángel explained on his Instagram account.

After the news of Alexio’s death, fans have flooded social networks with messages of support for the family and expressing their sadness at the death of one of the references of reggaeton with his songs “Tumba La Casa” and “Tarará”.
