U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Lehigh Valley, is relocating his Pittsburgh office from Station Square to Downtown.
The new office space, in the Grant Building at 310 Grant St., opens Monday.
While phones are transferred to the new location between Thursday night and Monday morning, constituents seeking assistance are urged to use the toll-free number 855-552-1831.
Federal law says that senators' local offices must be in federal buildings if suitable space is available, but Toomey's office said neither the federal courthouse nor the federal building on Liberty Avenue has adequate space.
While the Station Square space is about the same size as Toomey's new office space, a news release described the Downtown space as more accessible for constituents.
