Fabio Di Giannantonio, the Italian MotoGP rider, is gearing up for his comeback at the Aragon Grand Prix after being forced to withdraw from the Austrian race due to a dislocated left shoulder during Friday practice. Di Giannantonio, who recently signed a two-year contract with Ducati Corse to ride a factory-spec bike at VR46, has been diligently working on his rehabilitation in preparation for the upcoming round. He is scheduled to undergo a medical check on Thursday to determine his fitness to compete.

Di Giannantonio’s Road to Recovery

The setback in Austria was undoubtedly disappointing for Di Giannantonio, who had been showing promising form in the championship. However, the determined rider has been putting in the effort to bounce back stronger than ever. He shared, “It was a very busy week between medical checks, training, and physiotherapy. I have recovered, I feel better, but I don’t know exactly what the sensations will be on the bike.”

The Italian racer emphasized the importance of regaining arm mobility and strength to ensure that he is fully prepared for the demands of MotoGP competition. He expressed his eagerness to return to the track, stating, “Watching a race from the sofa at home is never a good situation for a rider. We have done everything possible to get back on the bike as soon as possible and we are just waiting for the last check to be able to fully concentrate on the race weekend on one of the most particular tracks on the calendar.”

Bezzecchi’s Momentum at Aragon

While Di Giannantonio focuses on his comeback, his teammate Marco Bezzecchi is carrying positive momentum into the Aragon Grand Prix following a strong performance at the Austrian round. Bezzecchi secured a sixth-place finish in the race, matching his best result outside of the podium finishes he achieved at Jerez. The Italian rider is optimistic about the challenges that await at the Aragon circuit, noting, “Aragon is a very particular track, with many different characteristics all concentrated in the same circuit.”

Bezzecchi, who has experienced mixed results at Aragon in the past, is determined to make the most of his current form and continue making progress in the highly competitive MotoGP field. He reflected on his recent performances, saying, “We are coming from a positive moment, however of growth and step forward on the bike. The sensations are good and the goal is to continue to be consistent and close the gap to the very first guys.”

Looking Ahead to the Race Weekend

As the Aragon Grand Prix approaches, both Di Giannantonio and Bezzecchi are focused on maximizing their potential on the challenging circuit. Di Giannantonio’s return to action will be closely monitored as he aims to regain lost ground in the championship standings, while Bezzecchi seeks to build on his recent success and further establish himself as a contender in the MotoGP field.

The competitive spirit and determination of the VR46 team will be on full display as they tackle the unique demands of the Aragon circuit. With each rider bringing their own strengths and ambitions to the table, fans can expect an exciting weekend of racing as the Italian duo looks to make their mark on the world stage.
