The deputies of the left-wing coalition Nupes slammed the door on Wednesday May 31 of the Social Affairs Committee of the National Assembly, accusing the presidential camp of “scheming” to prevent the vote, on June 8 in the hemicycle, of the proposal to repeal the retirement at age 64. “They use all maneuvers,” LFI group leader Mathilde Panot was indignant after committee president Fadila Khattabi (Renaissance) dismissed thousands of amendments tabled by the left.
“You have crossed the red line of what is not authorized by the regulations of the National Assembly (…) our role as parliamentarians is no longer of much use”, assures @sandrousseau. The deputies of the Nupes leave the commission.
