The former SS-Wachmann Bruno Dey is of aid to the murder in 5232 cases, and the attempted murder in one case, guilty. The judge Anne Meier Goering said at her sentencing hearing on Thursday in the Hamburg regional court. He was sentenced to a youth sentence of two years suspended to probation. Born in 1927, Dey was from August 1944 to April 1945 in the German concentration camp Stutthof near Gdansk security guard. He had never denied that, but said that he see no fault. He had personally added to any of the people suffering.

“As you could just to the Grey used?”, the judge asked the grounds for the judgment. Dey had been conscripted at the age of 17 to join the army and then the SS transferred.
He had to answer since October last year, before the Hamburg district court. The prosecution had accused him of accessory to murder in 5230 cases, “to the insidious and cruel killing, in particular, Jewish prisoners” with his service. The prosecution had asked for a youth sentence of three years, the defense had pleaded for acquittal.
In the concentration camp Stutthof were a total of imprisoned about 110,000 people, of 65,000 people died. Of the 5230 murders, to which Dey aid to count 30 by means of a neck-shot facility, 200 by means of gasification, and 5000 through the maintenance of hostile circumstances: Many of the prisoners died in the autumn/Winter of 1944, a Typhus epidemic.
The verdict in Hamburg, is likely one of the last to the crimes of the national socialists to be, because of the long time that has passed since then. Recently, it has been accused in Wuppertal, another former security guard from the concentration camp Stutthof, however, it is still unclear whether he is competent to stand trial.
