Twenty-five departments are affected by the orange “snow-ice” vigilance on Thursday. Orange vigilance is extended until 10 a.m. in the Nord, Pas-de-Calais and Somme; will apply from 4 p.m. in Cantal, Loire, Haute-Loire and Puy-de-Dôme, and from 6 p.m. in Isère.

The snowfall will end in the morning, from Hauts-de-France to Normandy, via the Paris region. However, their consequences could continue during the day with an early refreezing of the roads in the evening, warns the meteorological station.

Since the start of snowfall, we have recorded 2 to 5 centimeters in Normandy, with local peaks of 10 centimeters; 5 to 10 centimeters in the north of the country, with local peaks of 15 centimeters, and 1 to 4 centimeters in the Paris region.

In western Corsica, the weather is rainy and the libeccio blows at 90 to 110 kilometers per hour in Balagne.
