In the 2nd Bundesliga, Eintracht Braunschweig and Fortuna Düsseldorf deliver an exciting game including several crossbar hits. The climber proves to be dangerous, but the guests manage to catch up two deficits.
Despite equalizing twice in the 2nd Bundesliga, Fortuna Düsseldorf missed out on a win again. In an intense and two-fight game, the Rhinelanders did not get more than 2: 2 (0: 0) at newly promoted Eintracht Braunschweig. Düsseldorf, who started the season with two wins, did not score three points after the 1-0 loss in Sandhausen and the 2-2 draw against Greuther Fürth on the fifth day of the game.
The hosts rewarded themselves in a duel well worth seeing for a strong first half and took the lead thanks to Robin Krausse (56th minute). Just a little later, Nicolas Gavory (61st) equalized before Anton Donkor made it 2-1 (70th) and this time the guests equalized even more quickly through Marcel Sobottka (71st).
Eintracht got off to a slightly better start and said that the three points should ideally stay in Braunschweig. After a nice dribbling in the penalty area, Jan-Hendrik Marx (8th) shot on goal and the ball landed on the crossbar. Düsseldorf also came up with dangerous actions: Dawid Kownacki just missed the goal with a dangerous shot (32nd).
Shortly before the half-time whistle, Düsseldorf goalkeeper Florian Kastenmeier brilliantly thwarted a shot by Eintracht attacker Anthony Ujah. The Rhinelanders came out of the break much better, but Braunschweig kept getting dangerous. Eintracht shocked the guests with a double aluminum hit (64th) before they scored again.
