In the build-up to the highly anticipated Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour, the Harden Pony Club is gearing up to host a spectacular community fair on Tuesday, July 9. President of the Pony Club, Courtney Jones, expressed her excitement about being a part of the tour and having the opportunity to showcase the prestigious Melbourne Cup trophy to the local community.

“We are thrilled to be organizing this community fair that will have something for everyone to enjoy,” Ms. Jones remarked. “From face painting to pony rides and a jumping castle, there will be a variety of activities available for a gold coin donation.”

The event is set to feature participation from local schools and community sporting groups to ensure a wide range of entertainment options. Murrumburrah High School will be serving a delectable afternoon tea in the newly constructed Secretary’s building, offering attendees stunning views from the comfort of the indoor space.

In addition to the array of food options available, there will also be market stalls selling items ranging from metal garden art to lavender products, soaps, and sauces. Barwang Wines will be on-site for wine tasting, adding a touch of sophistication to the festivities.

A highlight of the day will be a grand parade featuring various local equine groups, scheduled to kick off at 3 pm. Attendees will also have the unique opportunity to meet and take photos with the 2024 Lexus Melbourne Cup from 3:15 pm to 4:30 pm on the verandah of the Secretary’s office, with proceeds going towards a charitable cause.

The community fair is scheduled to take place at the Murrumburrah Showgrounds from 2 pm to 5 pm, and Ms. Jones is encouraging everyone to come out and enjoy a day filled with fun, excitement, and a strong sense of community spirit.

“We have put a lot of effort into organizing this event, and we hope to see a great turnout from the community,” Ms. Jones stated. “We want everyone to come together and support this wonderful occasion that we have worked hard to put together. Admission to the fair is free, so bring your family and friends for an unforgettable experience.”

To conclude the day’s festivities, the club has arranged a dinner at the Harden Country Club, promising attendees a fabulous dining experience to cap off the day’s celebrations.
