Dubai-born golfer Rayhan Thomas showed off his impressive iron game at the First Stage of the PGA Tour Qualifying School in Nebraska, US. Despite a slow start with a couple of early bogeys, Rayhan managed to bounce back with a series of birdies and finished the round with a solid three-under-par 68.
The standout performance of the day came from Jesse Bratz, who shot an incredible 62 with four eagles, including a remarkable stretch of three eagles in four holes. The Wilderness Ridge Country Club, where the event took place, is known for its challenging layout with narrow fairways and small, sloping greens.
Reflecting on his round, Rayhan acknowledged the need to improve his driving but expressed confidence in his iron play. The top 21 players and ties from the 80-player field will advance to the next stage of Qualifying School.
The Nebraska event is part of a series of First Stage qualifiers happening across different states, with the top players progressing to the Second Stage. The final stage of the competition will take place at TPC Sawgrass in Florida, offering players a chance to secure a coveted spot on the PGA Tour.
