Travis Kelce accidentally ignored Niecy Nash-Betts’ texts, but he had a valid explanation for it! During a recent episode of the New Heights podcast, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was called out by Nash-Betts for not responding to her messages. She jokingly mentioned that he left her with “crickets” as a response, despite her texts being supportive and complimentary.
While Travis seemed surprised by the revelation, he quickly clarified that he had to change his phone number due to the overwhelming attention he received after starring in Grotesquerie with Nash-Betts. He explained that he was bombarded with messages and had to switch things up to manage the influx of communication.
Despite the playful banter, Travis eventually shared some insights into what his teammates think of Grotesquerie and his acting debut. He mentioned that they are intrigued by the show’s plot and characters, which has shifted the focus away from his performance as an actor.
Grotesquerie, a Ryan Murphy drama, follows the story of detective Lois Tryon, played by Nash-Betts, as she investigates personal and haunting crimes in her town. Travis plays the character Eddie, a nurse who is introduced while Lois is dealing with personal challenges in her family life.
If you’re a fan of the show, you can catch new episodes of Grotesquerie on FX every Wednesday at 10 p.m. ET/PT, with streaming available on Hulu the following day. Stay tuned for more intriguing episodes and captivating performances from the talented cast!
