An investigation was opened after the alleged rape of an Irish supporter on the night of Sunday to Monday in Bordeaux, where the XV au Clover played its first World Cup match on Saturday, Agence France-Presse learned (AFP ) to the public prosecutor’s office.

Attacked by “several perpetrators”

According to the victim’s statements, she was sexually assaulted “by multiple perpetrators”, who then fled. An investigation was opened, entrusted to the departmental security.

The victim was immediately taken care of by the Bordeaux Emergency Center for Victims of Aggression and a victim support association, “in English”.
