“I am now forced to move away from the antenna to get back in the ring (…) 26 years later, the story unfortunately stutters”, explains the former scrum-half of AS Mantes (Yvelines ), who discovered a tumor in his knee after being injured during a match at the age of 16 and has since worn a prosthesis between the femur and the tibia.
“There was a 1 to 5% chance that it would happen and it did,” adds the rugby gentleman from France Télévisions. “It will shake very hard but I am ready and very well surrounded (…) And like the blues, my only objective in 2023 is victory”, assures Matthieu Lartot, in reference to the next Rugby World Cup organized in France from September 8 to October 28.
Main commentator of the Six Nations Tournament since 2009 on France Télé, Matthieu Lartot also comments on Roland-Garros and has hosted the Sunday magazine “Stade 2” since 2017.
The TF1 group, holder of the broadcasting rights for the 2023 World Cup, sold 28 matches to the France Télévisions and M6 groups, reserving the most beautiful posters. TF1 will also broadcast the preparation matches of the XV of France this summer and its autumn tours 2024 and 2025, playing on the ground usually occupied by France Télé.
