Have you ever heard of wine being aged with the soundtrack of a video game? Well, that’s exactly what Square Enix did with their Nier Automata-branded wine. The barrels were blasted with the RPG’s amazing soundtrack during aging, which had to be Yoko Taro’s idea.

The Nier Automata wine kit comes with two bottles, each aged to their own curated Nier playlists, and two glasses emblazoned with the Lunar Tear. While the $80 price tag may seem steep, the novelty of knowing that the wine spent years vibing out to Nier Automata’s stellar OST makes it an impulse buy for fans.

The 2B vintage was aged with tracks like The Sound of the End, Rebirth & Hope, and Weight of the World, while its companion vino was soaked with Widespread Disease, City Ruins—Rays of Light, and Copied City. Nier series producer Yosuke Saito hinted at a new game that “might be Nier,” making this wine the perfect celebration drink.

Whether or not it’s Nier 3, this unique Nier Automata wine is sure to sweeten the wait for fans. Cheers to a one-of-a-kind experience for gamers and wine enthusiasts alike.
