WhatsApp Users Outraged Over New ‘Green’ Update

WhatsApp users are expressing their discontent with the app’s latest update, with many considering deleting the platform altogether. The update, which features a new, green-heavy colour scheme, has sparked backlash among users who find the changes unnecessary and unappealing.
Despite the negative feedback from users, there is no option to opt out of the update, leaving many feeling frustrated and powerless. The alterations include changing the arrow button from blue to green, as well as adjusting the text cursor and notification colours to match the new scheme.
Social media platforms have been flooded with complaints about the update, with users expressing their displeasure with the new design. Many have taken to Twitter to voice their concerns, with some even threatening to delete the app altogether.
WhatsApp’s parent company, Meta, has yet to address the backlash, but they have confirmed that all users will eventually receive the update, whether they like it or not. The company stated that the changes were made to help users focus on what matters most on the screen.
This latest update is not the first time WhatsApp users have expressed dissatisfaction with recent changes. Just last month, the app faced backlash for capitalizing words like ‘online’ and ‘typing,’ prompting a reversal of the decision.
As users continue to express their frustration with the new green update, it remains to be seen if WhatsApp will make any further changes in response to the feedback.
