Erfurt (dpa/th) – A 43-year-old was attacked by a drunk man in Erfurt and was seriously injured. The attacked person is said to have spoken to the attacker’s girlfriend near the main train station on Friday evening, the police said on Sunday. The 28-year-old partner, who, according to the police, had a blood alcohol level of almost two, saw a rival attempting to make contact and hit the 43-year-old so hard in the face that the man was seriously injured and suffered permanent damage. The 28-year-old is facing criminal proceedings for serious bodily harm.
