Bielefeld (dpa/lnw) – Three people were injured in consecutive accidents involving four cars on Autobahn 33 near Halle/Westphalia. First of all, on Saturday evening, a 21-year-old drove his car between the Borgholzhausen and Halle / Westphalia junctions for unknown reasons into the left concrete barrier. His car stopped across both lanes, the young man was able to get to safety behind the crash barrier with minor injuries. Shortly thereafter, two cars drove over the debris on the road and were damaged. Finally, a 57-year-old crashed his car into the first accident car despite emergency braking.
The man, his 32-year-old passenger and the 21-year-old were taken to hospital with minor injuries. The Autobahn was closed in the direction of Brilon for around two hours, according to the police. The property damage to the cars is around 60,000 euros.
