Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) – VfB Stuttgart wants to use its last chance and still achieve the first away win of the year in the Bundesliga in the game at Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday (3.30 p.m. / Sky). The Swabians achieved their last success abroad with a 2-0 win at VfL Wolfsburg on December 11, 2021. After a weak start to the season, Leverkusen have recently improved and celebrated two wins in a row. They are 13th in the table, two places ahead of VfB.

After the game, the Stuttgart team will have to make important personnel decisions. The future of interim coach Michael Wimmer needs to be clarified, as does that of sporting director Sven Mislintat. When and where exactly the respective negotiations are to take place is not yet known.
