Baden-Württemberg: cyclist hit by car and seriously injured

Gärtringen (dpa / lsw) – A cyclist was hit by a car in Gärtringen (Böblingen district) and seriously injured. According to the police on Friday, the 90-year-old driver had overlooked the woman driving in the same direction on the right-hand side of the road the day before. His car hit the 54-year-old’s bike from behind. The force of the collision threw the woman into an adjacent forest. She was flown to the hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. The senior was not injured.
