A married couple from Oviedo died last night from smoke inhalation, as confirmed by sources from the Oviedo City Council to Europa Press. The man was 80 years old and the woman 79.
It was the daughter of the deceased who tried to enter the house, without success, for which she immediately called the Local Police, who could not enter either. The building in which they lived is on Martínez Vigil street.
The notice reached the Fire and Rescue Service (SEIS), shortly before 2:00 a.m. this Sunday. They managed to enter and found the two lifeless bodies. After removing the corpses, they proceeded to extinguish the fire and carry out the ventilation work.
