Wustrow (dpa / mv) – The Mecklenburg-Western Pomeranian baths association supports the planned tourism law. The set of rules, which is intended to establish viable tourism structures, is a novelty in Germany, the association announced at its annual general meeting on Thursday in Wustrow. From the point of view of the state’s tourism officer, Tobias Woitendorf, the law will strengthen the economy and tourism industry.
According to information from the association, around half of the overnight stays in the north-east in 2021 were accounted for by around 60 member locations, i.e. 13 million. The association’s president, Ulrich Langer, who has just been confirmed, was satisfied with the results: “Our health resorts and resorts, with their local clinics, are real centers of health competence with a very good infrastructure.”
