Bietigheim-Bissingen (dpa/lsw) – The persistently strong demand and a slight easing of the supply chains make the machine and plant manufacturer Dürr a little more optimistic for 2022. The board of directors around company boss Jochen Weyrauch now expects sales in the upper range of the targeted for the year as a whole Corridor of 3.9 to 4.2 billion euros, as the group announced on Thursday in Bietigheim-Bissingen. At the same time, incoming orders are likely to be higher than expected when the forecast was first raised in August, at EUR 4.8 to 5.1 billion.
Despite the currently tense situation, customers are focusing on future fields such as automation, e-mobility and sustainable production processes, Weyrauch said according to the announcement. In the past third quarter, the company increased sales by almost a quarter to 1.12 billion euros. Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) also rose unexpectedly by ten percent to EUR 63.4 million. After taxes, Dürr was able to more than double its profit to EUR 35.6 million, which was mainly due to a strong financial result.
