Poggendorf (dpa / mv) – A driver died in an accident on the state road 26 between Poggendorf (Vorpommern-Rügen district) and Greifswald. As a police spokesman said, the 57-year-old from the region left the road with his car on Wednesday and apparently collided with a tree without braking. He died at the scene of the accident. The cause of the accident is still unclear, the public prosecutor’s office had used an expert to investigate the accident. The L26 was closed for around two and a half hours.
