Munich (dpa / lby) – FC Bayern Munich will work together with SpVgg Greuther Fürth in women’s and girls’ football in the future. The aim of the cooperation is to train the next generation in a more targeted and local way. Both clubs announced this on Friday. “The focus is on individual support for young players close to home,” said Munich’s talent promotion coordinator, Nathalie Bischof.
For women’s football coordinator Sarah Roithmeier from the Fürth state league team, the cooperation is even a “win-win-win” situation. In addition to the two clubs, she believes that young footballers who dream of a professional career will also benefit.
For the first time, the Munich women’s Bundesliga team is entering into a cooperation with another club to promote talent.
