Bielefeld (dpa / lnw) – A 40-year-old man was seriously injured in a car accident in Bielefeld on Saturday evening. According to the police, a 30-year-old driver drove his vehicle at high speed on Vilsendorfer Straße through Bielefeld-Jöllenbeck and from behind the car in front. As a result of the impact, the vehicle, which was traveling as a pizza taxi, was thrown onto the roof and the driver was trapped. The fire brigade released the man, who was taken to hospital in an ambulance with serious injuries. The person who caused the accident was not injured. The road was completely closed for three hours. The police estimated the damage to the two vehicles at around 35,000 euros.
