Schwerin (dpa/mv) – With the game at Schwarz-Weiß Erfurt on Saturday (7 p.m.), the long-awaited Bundesliga season begins for the volleyball players from SSC Palmberg Schwerin. After around ten weeks of preparation, coach Felix Koslowski sees his team well equipped for the first task, especially since his team has been able to train with a full squad for ten days due to the return of three national players.
Nevertheless, Koslowski warned against underestimating Erfurt and praised the development of the hosts in recent years. The coach also said: “Regardless of whether it’s Stuttgart, Potsdam, Dresden or Erfurt, it doesn’t matter to us. The first matchday is always a special matchday, and that’s how we approach the topic.” Anna Pogany, who is captaining the SSC team for the first time, made a similar statement and added: “We saw last year that it is difficult to play in Erfurt and we will concentrate on ourselves.”
