Neubukow/Ueckermünde (dpa/mv) – Two motorcyclists were seriously injured in accidents on Sunday in Neubukow (Rostock district) and Ueckermünde (West Pomerania-Greifswald). As a police spokesman said, a driver gave way to a 55-year-old biker at an intersection in Ueckermünde. Both vehicles were severely damaged in the collision and the motorcyclist was taken to a clinic. The driver appeared unharmed.

A 67-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured in Neubukow. The motorcyclist had to brake suddenly at the entrance to the town to avoid colliding with a car driving in front. Its driver had also braked his car sharply when entering the small town. The biker fell during the braking maneuver and was taken to a clinic by rescue helicopter.
