Greding (dpa / lby) – Defeat for the Bavarian AfD state board around chairman Stephan Protschka: A state party conference stopped the board’s plans to move the state office from Hohenbrunn near Munich to Greding in Central Franconia on Saturday. The party has been holding its party conferences in the town directly on Autobahn 9 for a long time, and it has also rented rooms there. The board of directors had now wanted to relocate the entire state office there.
However, a majority of the members present at the party congress in Greding voted in favor of a motion in which Munich is designated as the seat of the “central state office”. If necessary, it should only be “switched to a location in the district of Munich”.
Protschka told the German Press Agency on Saturday evening: “Of course, the party congress resolutions will be implemented.” He also does not see the outcome of the vote as a defeat. The members would have decided differently on this point. “This is democracy.” Now we will sit down and find solutions.
